  17. This Updater will update a version of KiwiENVELOPES! from versions 3.x to the current version of 3.1.11.

  19. Use this updater ONLY on a copy (not the original) of the DA Suitcase (System 6.0.x) or the Desk Accessory itself (System 7).  For best results, make the copy of the DA from your original disk, not by using the Font/DA Mover to create one from the copy in your System.

After updating, install and open KiwiENVELOPES! and make sure that the version number has changed to 3.1.11 and that the 'Hide' button (which existed in versions prior to 3.1.5) has disappeared.  If these changes have not occurred, throw away the unsuccessfully updated version, make a new copy, and start over.

  23. When using the updated version with the newer printers, please follow the specific instructions in the New Printer ReadMe file.

  25. Updating the Desk Accessory itself in System 7 will provide an Icon for the DA. To get the Icon activated, rebuilding the desktop may be required. (Hold down Command-Option at Startup to rebuild the desktop file).

  27. Your default address setting will be lost but the addresses themselves will still be valid.

  29. Version 3.1.11 under System 7 looks in your Preferences folder for your 'Kiwi File 3'. If your addresses appear to be lost, then move your old 'Kiwi File 3' from your System folder to your Preferences Folder.

  31. This program will not update a demo version or a file that has already been updated (successfully or not) to the current version.

  33. With the updated version, there is no longer the requirement to enter your serial number when first using the utility on a new system.

KiwiENVELOPES! has been tested thoroughly with System 7 and 7.1, and has been updated to support all current versions fully.  To install KiwiENVELOPES!, simply locate the version of the program in the "KE for System 7.0" folder  and drag it onto the icon of your System Folder.  At this point, KiwiENVELOPES! should appear under the Apple menu with your other desk accessories and applications. With System 7 and 7.1, there is no need to restart your Macintosh after installing KiwiENVELOPES!
